Everything is connected correctly, it plays once and then no disc appear the next time I tried, I just bought today. I've never touched a configuration settings. Each answer is.

actually new a disc? It's the only reason I can imagine.
Try another disc and it does not work, take it to the shop. I had good results and was just a faulty chip. New one worked fine.
